These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PetConnect mobile application ("App") operated by JheiLabs ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use PetConnect. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or use another person's account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of content you create (pet profiles, stories, photos, videos). By posting content on PetConnect, you grant JheiLabs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the App and for marketing purposes.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not endorse user-generated content and are not liable for it.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our community standards.
PetConnect's missing pet and sighting features are provided as a community tool to assist pet owners. We do not guarantee that any missing pet will be found. Sighting reports are submitted by community members and may not be accurate. Always exercise caution when responding to sighting reports.
PetConnect provides direct messaging to facilitate communication between users (e.g., adoption inquiries, community connections). You agree to use messaging responsibly and not to send harassing, threatening, or spam messages. Users may block other users at any time. Blocked users cannot send messages to the person who blocked them.
Messages you send remain visible to the other participant even if you delete your account (attributed to "Deleted User"). Photos you sent in conversations are permanently deleted from storage upon account deletion. We reserve the right to restrict messaging privileges for accounts that violate our community standards.
PetConnect's Adoption Board facilitates connections between pet owners looking to rehome their pets and potential adopters. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:
Memoria is a permanent memorial feature for pets that have passed away. Once a pet profile is converted to Memoria, it cannot be restored or deleted. Condolence messages posted on Memoria profiles are subject to community moderation. We reserve the right to hide or remove condolences that violate our community standards.
PetConnect offers optional paid subscriptions (Herald and Guardian tiers) and consumable in-app purchases (Treat packs) processed through Google Play.
Subscription benefits are tied to your account. We do not offer refunds for unused subscription periods.
Treats are virtual currency used within PetConnect for community features (welfare chest drops, candle relighting). Treats have no real-world monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash. Unused treats are forfeited upon account deletion.
Oreyo is an AI-powered pet care assistant powered by Google Gemini, a large language model. Oreyo may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. Responses are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute veterinary advice. Use of Oreyo does not create a veterinarian-client-patient relationship between you, JheiLabs, or any third party. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment, or any medical decisions regarding your pet. JheiLabs is not liable for any harm resulting from reliance on Oreyo responses.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed as described in our Privacy Policy. Photos you sent in direct messages are permanently deleted from storage. Text messages are anonymized under "Deleted User" and remain visible to the other participant. Public content enters a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion. Sighting reports and condolence messages are anonymized rather than deleted to preserve community records.
The PetConnect App, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by JheiLabs and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.
PetConnect is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost pets, failed sighting reports, or data loss.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JheiLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of PetConnect, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Philippines.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
