PetConnect is developed and operated by JheiLabs. This page explains how to request deletion of your PetConnect account and what happens to your data when you do.
Account deletion is done directly within the PetConnect app. You do not need to contact us — the option is available in your settings.
The following data is permanently deleted when your account is removed:

| PawBot (AI assistant) conversation history | Immediately | Deleted |
| Treat ledger and badge records | Immediately | Deleted |
| Journey stories and Moment stories | After 30 days | Deleted |
| Public pet profiles | After 30 days | Deleted |
Some data is retained after account deletion for the reasons described below:

| Missing pet sighting reports you submitted | Indefinite | Anonymized — your name is replaced with "Deleted User". Location, photo, and timestamp are retained for the pet owner's rescue investigation. |
| Condolence messages on Memoria pet profiles | Indefinite | Anonymized — your name is replaced with "Deleted User". Retained out of respect for the pet owner's memorial. |
Sighting reports are classified as Critical Community Records. They may be essential to active rescue investigations or legal pet ownership disputes and are therefore retained in anonymized form.
